The KeyTec® TR-FRET Green2-conjugated Streptavidin is designed for use in TR-FRET assay development. Taking a protein-protein interaction detection model as an example: when the interaction between His-tagged Protein A and Biotinylated Protein B needs to be detected, the KeyTec® TR-FRET Solar Tb1-conjugated anti-His tag antibody and the KeyTec® TR-FRET Green*2-conjugated Streptavidin are brought into proximity due to the protein-protein interaction. Upon excitation by an external light source, energy resonance transfer (FRET) occurs between the donor and acceptor, and specific signals can be read at 520 nm. The intensity of this specific signal is proportional to the extent of the protein-protein interaction. This type of assay model can be used for screening inhibitors or blockers (compounds, antibodies, etc.) of protein-protein interactions.
