KeyTec® TR-FRET Human IL6 Detection Kit can be used to measure the expression level of Human IL6 in samples such as cell culture supernatants. This kit is a sandwich immunoassay developed based on KeyTec® TR-FRET technology, featuring simplicity, rapidity, high specificity, high sensitivity, and good reproducibility.
The basic principle of this method is illustrated in the figure below. A pair of specific antibodies are separately conjugated with the fluorescence energy donor Solar Eu and the fluorescence energy acceptor LA. When the two antibodies bind to different epitopes of the Human IL6 protein, energy resonance transfer occurs between the donor and acceptor upon excitation by an external light source. The level of Human IL6 protein can be determined by detecting the signal intensity at a specific wavelength (665 nm).

The KeyTec® TR-FRET Human IL6 assay kit is designed for quantitative measurement of Human IL6 protein in supernatant. It is based on sandwich immunoassay model and utilizes TR-FRET technology, known for its ease of use, homogeneity (no wash), low background, high sensitivity, robustness.
The detection principle is based on TR-FRET technology. A pair of mAb anti-IL6 antibodies, each labeled with KeyTec® TR-FRET Solar Eu and KeyTec® TR-FRET LA, bind to the same antigen Human IL6 protein. This binding brings the donor molecule into proximity with the acceptor molecule. Excitation of the donor will result in the generation of the TR-FRET signal at 665 nm, proportional to the concentration of Human IL6 protein.
